We perfected our favorite travel chair.
We’ve tried just about every model of this chair over our 20 plus years of attending music festivals, outdoor events, and camping. Pine models would split or break, some chairs didn’t have the right angle for sitting, others placed the fabric too high for good low back support, or the fabric was so loose that it didn’t offer support at all. We decided to hone in our years of carpentry experience to make our own version with all of the improvements we wished for. Hours of testing and tweaking have brought us the Big Tree Chair, named after the oldest Burr Oak in Missouri for its persistence, beauty, and longevity.

Big Tree chairs are crafted from Missouri hardwoods that have been sustainably harvested from right-of-way areas such as roadways or around electrical lines. Occasionally we find reclaimed hardwoods such as old oak framing or barn woods.
